Cloud desktop is also known as a virtual desktop, a desktop hosted, or a Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) server. For end-users, the cloud desktop functions much like a traditional computer desktop. So when they open / power their chosen computer, they will be provided with all the files and applications required to do their job.
However, unlike the typical Microsoft Windows desktop, the requisite settings, data and operating system are distributed over the internet rather than stored on the hard drive of the device. This ensures that workers can access their cloud desktop from any web-enabled computer. And this makes remote and mobile working a far more viable option.
